This is a general reading I did for myself a few weeks ago, in which I received the goddess Erecura’s message for prosperity. I felt moved to share it, and it is a good example of my reading style. It is a message that I believe can resonate with many people. The decks used are Legendary Ladies Goddess Deck and Radiant Rider-Waite.

Erecura is a goddess of the underworld, and she appears for those who are ready to receive great prosperity in their lives. For myself, I was feeling stuck and despairing, when I pulled an Erecura card from a goddess oracle deck. I prayed to her, and felt moved to do a tarot reading to receive a message. She showed me the clear paths that are in front of us all – these are paths that I had not seen before, and that we can all choose to take to bring the abundance we desire to our lives.

I felt a clear and unignorable desire to share this message with anyone ready to receive it. This is a general reading, but I believe because you found it and felt moved to purchase it and read it, it was meant to resonate with you in some way.

As you go through the reading, ask yourself these questions:

What parts of the reading resonate with me? These could potentially be areas of yourself you have never explored before, or areas that you’ve known about for a while.
What parts of the reading don’t seem to resonate with me? This will give you better insight into who you are not. Knowing what resonates and what doesn’t will help to solidify your identity.
What pieces of advice were offered in the reading, and what might my life look like if I follow that advice?
What might my life look like if I don’t follow the advice?
How does the reading make me feel, emotionally? Physically?
What parts of myself do I see differently now after this reading?

We will begin with a prayer so that we can feel more connected with Erecura’s energy. We will then receive her full message. Afterward, we close with a meditation to instill the message within us, so that we will more easily make the right choices for ourselves.

Opening Prayer

Find a quiet space where you are alone, or are free to share this experience with those around you.

Take one deep, slow breath in. Release your breath slowly.

Spirit guides, please join me now. I need your assistance to work with the goddess Erecura. Please join me, and help guide me to receive this message and use it to move me towards my higher self.

Restore your inner energy field, to have the strength to receive the coming message.

Close your eyes.

Place your hands in front of you as though you are holding a small ball. The space between your hands is your energy field.

Ask your spirit guides to restore your energy:

Spirits, please rebuild my energy so that I may be of service to myself and the world.

Let your hands gently expand as you feel your energy filling up. Once you feel restored (usually when your hands have expanded wider than your hips), you can rest your arms.

Take one more deep slow breath in. Release your breath slowly.

Call out to Erecura (pronounced AIR-kur-ah):

Erecura, bountiful goddess of the underworld, she who watches over the souls of the departed, who bestows blessings to the living, please be with me now.

Erecura’s Message via a Tarot Reading

I felt moved to ask Erecura questions about how to get unstuck and begin moving towards abundance. Here, I have written out the questions I asked, the cards I have pulled, and the messages I’ve received from the cards and Erecura.

Erecura, what do I need to know about my current situation?

Three of Swords (reversed), Three of Wands, Seven of Pentacles

The Three of Swords is usually a warning about impending heartbreak, of logic destroying romance, or of creativity being stifled by over-analysis. There are 3 swords piercing a heart amongst several storm clouds – things looks bleak. But as a reversal, I can see that there is a blockage here of thought and creativity. You are stuck somewhere. There are rays of light coming off of the bottom of the heart, and in the reversal we see this light shooting upwards. I see these as rays of hope breaking out of the blockage.

The Three of Wands shows a yearning to embrace your passion, which I feel is a continuation of those rays of hope from the previous card. A man stands holding a wand with 2 others standing up right next to him, as he looks out over a beautiful body of water filled with boats, and a sunset over a mountain range. Wands are our passions and desires. Erecura is acknowledging that we feel very stuck, but we can see a path ahead of us where we are able to pursue our deepest urges while living a fulfilling life.

The Seven of Pentacles shows that we know we need to cultivate material wealth in our lives. The man in this card has been tending a garden of pentacles, and he looks longingly at it, as though contemplating what is the real purpose behind the work he has been doing. Erecura sees that we feel trapped by our desire to chase our passions, but our need to maintain financial success. This is why we feel blocked – we do not know how to balance our desires with our responsibilities.

Erecura, how can I find space in life to pursue my passions?

XVI The Tower, XVIII The Moon

Erecura is not playing around here – you sometimes need to let things go. Not just lightly drop it, but burn it to the ground. The Tower is about life-altering change and rebirth. The Moon comes in and says that this will not be something easy to do, but it is a path you must follow by trusting your intuition. In other words, if you search deep within yourself and find that what you are doing right now to make money does not sit right with you, stop what you are doing. This will be hard and challenging and you might feel like you are starting over, but this is the first step on the path that Erecura recommends.

Erecura, how can I learn to trust my intuition more, so that I may know if what I am doing sits right with me?

Ten of Pentacles, Queen of Wands

The Ten of Pentacles shows a gathering of people enjoying the abundance of the pentacles around them, and I see this as looking to those around to trust if you are on the right path or not. Does your family enjoy being around you? Do your friends see you as fun to be around? If the answer is no, what is causing you to be someone that others would rather not spend time with? The Queen of Wands is showing us that being on the right path means you are nurturing your passions, the way this queen is nurturing the wand and the sunflower in her hands. Are you nurturing your passions? If so, you can trust this is the right path. Have you put your passions on the backburner? Then you need to re-examine what you are doing.

Erecura, how can I achieve the material wealth I need to live and thrive?

Nine of Cups, Two of Pentacles reversed

The Nine of Cups shows a contented man sitting with 9 cups above him. Cups are our emotions, and this man has learned to accept his emotions as they are. Erecura is telling us to not fight how we feel about what we need to do to make money – everyone needs to do it, like eating, sleeping, and using the bathroom – so just accept it, and breathe into it. You will find that money comes much easier when you stop worrying about it so much. The Two of Pentacles re-emphasizes this balance that is necessary between our material needs, and our passions. If one part gets out of balance, then our emotions about our situation will also become unbalanced, and everything will start to fall apart.

Erecura, what is most important for me to do right now?

Eight of Wands

This card is a clear message that we must examine our different passions and the different paths they might lead us down. Erecura gave us the tools we need to choose the right path: 1) let things go that aren’t working for you, 2) trust what your intuition tells you about the path you are on, 3) observe how others act around you to know if you are becoming the person you want to be, 4) don’t fight your emotions in regards to how you make money, and 5) maintain the balance between earning money and pursuing your passion.

Now, you must go and apply these steps to the different options in front of you. Erecura is here to tell you that there is a path to abundance if you follow these steps and pursue the path you know is right for you.

Closing Meditation

Let’s now take Erecura’s message and do a meditation to solidify our intentions, visualize our outcome, and internalize what we have learned.

If possible, I recommend recording yourself reading this meditation, and then playing it back whenever you wish to do this meditation.

It is also helpful to put on some meditation background sounds or music – you can search YouTube for things like singing bowls, meditation sounds, and healing vibrations and find something that resonates with the energy you have right now.

Sit or lie down comfortably.

Take three deep, focused breathes.

Deep breath in… deep breath out…

Take your hand, and place it gently over the center of your chest. Begin lightly tapping your chest, as you take some more breaths in and out.

As we continue tapping, we will now set our intention:

Goddess Erecura, I have heard your message.
I am accepting the blessing that you have brought to me today.
I am ready to examine my passions.
I believe abundance will come to me.
I am ready to accept my emotions around money.
I believe wealth will come to me.
I am ready to trust my intuition.
I believe prosperity will come to me.
I am ready to let go of what does not work for me right now.
I believe in your generosity, and the generosity of the universe.
I am ready to step forward.

Thank you spirits for being with me as I received this important message.
